Student Clubs

The diversity of the Vamnians community is reflected in the wide variety of student clubs. You will learn as much from your classmates through outside activities as you will in the classroom. 

VAMNICOM supports more than 10 clubs, events, and activities that run the gamut from purely social to strictly professional. Our community’s size creates scope to sustain a club for almost every interest professional opportunities to sports, hobbies, and community service. Students also create informal get-togethers, weekend jaunts, and other "unofficial" special-interest activities. The large number of student clubs provides numerous leadership opportunities. Each year’s clubs are shaped by the interests of the incoming MBA class – so if you don’t find an existing group that shares your particular interests, create your own!

Clubs

All the extra-curricular activities of PFDM programs at VAMNICOM are largely student driven; all the necessary work and events of the institute is co-ordinate and managed by various students committees. This Unique feature gives students the opportunities to work in teams and apply their managerial skill to the practical problems and management skill application to get the work done.

1.Retail & FMCG Club

The Retail Club is designed for students interested in learning about or pursuing a career in the retail industry. The club has a broad industry and functional reach. Events throughout the year promote learning in Retailing, Procurement & e-business sales channels. In addition, events are organized to expose members to retailers in a variety of segments and functional areas, interaction with industry veterans, field trips to off-site locations, and series of tutorials

2.Food and Agriculture Resource Management Club (FARM)

The Food and Agriculture Resource Management (FARM) Club serves to advance the career and educational interests of the Vamnians in topics related to food and agriculture. FARM also facilitates cross-disciplinary engagement on topics of agriculture with relevant Vamnians clubs and academic departments. It covers the disciplines like Core Agriculture, Agri Engg., Agri Biotechnology, Dairy and Food technology, Fisheries, forestry and other allied agriculture subjects. 

3.Banking & Finance Club (FINBING)

The club focuses on the following areas of finance: 

  • Investment Banking
  • Capital Markets 
  • Non-banking Corporate Finance
  • Agri Finance
  • Private Client Services
  • International Finance
We work closely with Career Management and corporate recruiters to put on events for students. Promote communication between VAMNICOM alumni that have developed finance careers and current members of The Finance Club. Foster an environment among MBA students that encourages continuous learning and discovery of recent trends and developments within the field of investment banking, non-banking corporate finance, and Agri Finance.
Various methodologies used include simulation games, case study discussions and presentations by both students and eminent marketing specialists. Activities include career treks, industry leadership speaker series and panels, education opportunities, recruitment venues, and networking events and other important issues on Financial Climate

4.Marketing Research Club (INSIGHT)

The Marketing Research (INSIGHT) Club serves to improve the career and educational interests of the Vamnians in topics related to Market research. INSIGHT also facilitates cross-disciplinary engagement on topics of agriculture with relevant Vamnians clubs and academic departments. INSIGHT targets to achieve the competency level of strategic planning and organising the practical application of the subject in summers and throughout the career.

5.Marketing & Sales Club

At Vamnicom for Marketing strives to keep the student fraternity abreast with all the latest happenings in the area of Marketing aims to create an atmosphere in which academic concepts can be discussed and practically applied so that the students have a thorough understanding of marketing fundamentals. This objective is achieved through a series of activities organized throughout the year which includes Case studies, Presentations, simulation, expert lecture, alumni interactions.

6. Supply Chain Management

Looking at Agri supply chain, the club always overlooked to explore new frameworks, models and trends in the modern approach of SCM in Agri business scenario. When all the companies have the same set of manufacturing capabilities, a well integrated and responsive supply chain happens to be the key to success. The role of SCM becomes much more challenging in a vast country like India where there are numerous constraints the supply chain, the forum is an endeavor by the students of PGDM-ABM to share and research the latest trends in the supply chain. Students are equipped with all the latest trends and happenings in the Supply Chain Management arena. The forum tries to ignite the minds of students in the field by organizing frequent activities like Group Discussions, presentations, guest lectures, case studies, simulation and software usage etc. 

7.Communication & General Awareness (COMUNICAZIONE)

Daily updates of recent changes and personality development is the core goal of the Communication & General Awareness club. It allows convergence of knowledge from all possible sources and its subsequent dissemination to everyone having interest, through informal discussions, presentations, interaction with industry veterans, field trips to off-site locations, and series of tutorials. It regularly to interact, discusses, and presents new issues, developments and ideas among the members.

8. Commodity and Trading Club

Commodity trading is a very new & vibrant sector for Indian agriculture. . The Commodity & Trading Club is designed for students interested in learning about or pursuing a career in the Commodity & Trading industry. The club has a broad industry and functional reach. VAMNICOM already have the collaboration with MCX & NCDEX. The club fostering an a set of  environment among PGDM-ABM students that encourages continuous learning and discovery of recent trends and developments within the field of Commodity & Equity Market, Research & Analysis discussion, Financial Structuring, & Risk management. 

9. Economics Club (EC)

India is an agrarian economy & the Economists Club encourages the exchange of ideas on economics, business, and Government policies. EC foster the advancement of the social sciences and serve the members by informing them of events on economic issues, organize events of interest to the membership & provide students with information and literature concerning work in the field of economics. The ET club facilitates exchange of business news and supplement reading on business information by students. The Economics Forum is an intellectual platform for students and faculties to exchange their views on economic issues of relevance. It is a forum to discuss real time economic issues and their implications at the micro and macro level. Social implications of the current economic development would be debated.

10.Entrepreneur Club

The Entrepreneur Club provides exposure to mentorship and networking opportunities with outside business owners and builds relationships between the Vamnians and the entrepreneurial community in Pune. It is attempt to develop the entrepreneurs skill application incorporate environment to achieve the goals. 

11.Social Responsibility (PayBack) 

PayBack is a nonprofit organization that was founded in last year by a VAMNICOM student. Its mission is to encourage philanthropic involvement in social service, event organisation for the Poor’s and need based arena, Paraplegic military persons and Blood donation.

12.Business Quiz club (Bizdom)

Started as a “Moron’s Collection of Useless Business Information”, target audience was all those who wanted to acquire knowledge regarding businesses, brands and their history,. The collection of information has increased significantly in last two years and now the students are running a Blog which covers Bizdom Quizzes by students of VAMNICOM. However it is Tata Crucible, the most acknowledged quiz in the corporate world for which the blog is often visited.
