Admission Process

Admission procedure for the 28th batch  of PGDM ABM  (AICTE approved, equivalent to MBA status by AIU) programme commencing in the second week of June, 2020 is as given below:

The selection to PGDM-ABM programme is based on Entrance Examination which is comprising of

  1. Latest valid test score of CAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA / GMAT / CMAT of AICTE at the time of application (GMAT/GRE for foreign nationals*)

  2. Group Discussion 

  3. Personal Interview.

Securing minimum prescribed marks in Group Discussion and Personal Interview are compulsory to become eligible for taking admission.

Note: Candidates interested in pursuing PGDM – ABM at VAMNICOM, Pune are advised to apply and appear the referred national level test directly and apply to VAMNICOM in the prescribed application form with valid score on or before 31st March, 2020.

Eligibility

i) Any graduate from a recognized University, with minimum education of 15 years (10+2+3) full time with atleast 50% marks for the General / OBC (non creamy) / EWS candidates and 45% marks for SC / ST candidates in Graduation.

ii) Latest Valid Test scores of any one of the National level Tests - CAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA /CMAT / GMAT  (GMAT/GRE for foreign nationals) at the time of application. These guidelines may get modified / subject to be modified depending upon AICTE guidelines from time to time.

iii) The percentage obtained by the candidate in the Bachelor's Degree would be based on the practice followed by the University / institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree.

iv) Applicants who have appeared for bachelor's degree examination and awaiting results may also apply subject to fulfillment of conditions by 14/08/2020.

v) Reservation of seats for OBC (Non Creamy) / EWS / SC / ST / Physically Disability persons as per Govt. of India rules.

HOW TO APPLY

Candidats can apply for admission online and can also pay the fees online. The prescribed application form may be downloaded from the website and apply with valid score of CAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA / /CMAT / GMAT (GMAT/GRE for foreign nationals*) by 31st March 2020 by post along with demand draft of Rs. 500/- in favour of "The Director, VAMNICOM, Pune”.

The Group Discussion and Personal Interviews will be conducted at Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Dehradun, Gandhinagar, Jabalpur, Jaipur (Rajasthan), Kalyani(West Bengal), Nagpur, New Delhi/Gurgaon, Patna, Pantnagar and Pune   during April & May 2020, subject to sufficient number of students opting for it.

The schedule of GD/PI will be announced on the Institute's web site www.vamnicom.gov.in

The Institutions which are conducting CAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA / CMAT/ GMAT have no role either in selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

COOPERATIVE/GOVERNMENT SPONSORED CANDIDATES

Three seats are reserved for Cooperative, and Central/State Government employees. A Cooperative Organisation having more than 25 employees and having a turnover of more than one crore per annum and Government can sponsor their employees for the PGDM (ABM) programme. The seats are reserved for such sponsored candidates provided they fulfill the following conditions:

  1. Any graduate with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of fulltime education with minimum 50% marks (all the subjects in all the years put together) from a recognised University.

  2. The sponsoring organisation should be willing to grant leave to the candidate (if selected) for the period of study and it should make payment of fees and other dues of the candidates to the Institute. Fees will not be accepted from the candidate directly. The candidate should have the valid test score of CAT / MAT / XAT/ ATMA / CMAT / GMAT and appear for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

FOREIGN NATIONALS* 

Foreign National students / officials working in Cooperative or Rural Financing Institutions in SAARC countries and Afro-Asian countries are eligible to join PGDM-ABM programme.  The following are conditions:

  1. Any graduate with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of fulltime education with minimum 50% marks / equivalent grades (all the subjects in all the years put together) from a recognised University.

  2. The candidate should have the valid test score of GMAT / GRE scores  and appear for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

  3. The fee payable for the  Indian Nationals will be applicable for foreign nationals candidates.  However except Nepal and Bhutan, all other foreign nationals are required to pay in US$. Candidates from  Nepal and Bhutan may pay in Indian currency.   

WARDS OF NCUI / NCCT / VAMNICOM EMPLOYEES

Admission Procedure followed are same as given for General Candidates. Three seats are reserved for the wards of NCUI / NCCT/ VAMNICOM employees.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND OVERSEAS SUMMER INTERNSHIP

NCUI Scholarship of Rs. 40,000/- per annum is given to six students as per the norms of National Cooperative Union of India.

IFFCO Scholarship of Rs. 15,000/- per annum is given to Two SC and One ST students on merit basis.

CICTAB Meritorious Award for two  students of India & two  Foreign Nationals.

Govt. of India, Ministry of Social Welfare/ Tibal Affairs, Post Matric Scholarships for SC/ST students.

As part of a MoU between VAMNICOM and National Institute of Cooperative Development (NICD), Sri Lanka, two of the PGDM (ABM) students will get Summer Internship at Sri Lanka. Under this agreement, VAMNICOM provides one way air travel expenditure from Mumbai or to and fro air travel expenditure from Chennai/Bangalore. Lodging & boarding facilities are provided by NICD, Sri Lanka.

PGDM AT RICM Gandhinagar

VAMNICOM Merit list is considered for admission in URICM, Gandhinagar which is offering the AICTE approved PGDM programme. For further details of URICM, Gandhinagar, visit website:www.urimanage.org

RICM uses VAMNICOM Merit list for admission of the candidates for two year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Agri Business Management. VAMNICOM has no role either in selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
